bye, bye...

So many changes are happening in my little corner of the stamping word...
Challenges are going on hiatus
Challenges are stopping
Challenges are redesigned (This one)
The saddest of all is that Paper Smooches, one of my favorite companies, is closing it’s doors!
In honor of them my cards for today will be done with their products.
They are starting their GOFB sale so check them out...
The card for this challenge is white card stock base card.
On vellum I used a Cuttlebug swirl folder to emboss it and smeared Distress Archival inks hickory smoke, faded jeans and black soot over the back and allowed it to dry.
Next I die cut it with a die from Paper Smooches “Borders 1”.
I die cut a frame from white card stock using MFT Die-a mics “Stitched Rectangle STAX” and applied the vellum to the back.
Once I trimmed everything down and added more adhesive to the frame I applied it to the card.
To finish i stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches “Spreading Sunshine” set using the black soot ink.

  2. I love how the background turned out, Arlene! The dry embossing and "smeared" in on the back makes a fantastic storm! The sentiment is perfect and good advice for these times. Seems like the only thing normal these days is change! But some changes are for the better. Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
