quilted CAS...

This is a very special birthday card for a very special friend.
Last year I didn’t send her a sewing/quilting card and I think she was disappointed.
To that end I went though my sewing stamps and came up with this.
As she is also a stamper I am sending her a homemade wreath template as per Paul Ford, whom you can find on Facebook.
The base card is white linen card stock.
Using the template and the sewing lady, unknown company, I stamped her with StazOn jet black ink and then cut the outside of the wreathed images with scissors.
She was applied with very thin foam tape.
Using MFT Die-namics “Stitched Traditional Tag STAX”, the smallest one, I cut out a piece of white linen card stock and a piece of double backed adhesive.
To the white tag I stamped the verse from Stampin’ Up’s “Quilt Quips” with StazOn jet black ink.
Next I cut the three colors of the challenge in card stock with Die-versions “Oriental Screen” and attached them to the adhesive tag.
This I trimmed around the edge and applied to the card front.
To finish I punches an 1/8” hole in the white tag and applied white twine that I curled with a brush handle before attaching the tag to the front of the card.
