AAA Birthday Challenge guest designing…

Since I retired from my design team commitments at the first of the year I am so enjoying guest designing for challenges!

I fell in love with the image for this challenge and wondered how close I could come to it with the items I had to work with.
The base card is white card stock cut to fit in a legal size envelope as a slim line card.
On light blue card stock cut to fit on the base card I applied masks cut using a die from Sizzix Tim Holtz “Wildflower Stems #2” and sponged it with Distress broken china ink.
I cut another mask using the MFT “Watercolor Wash Free Form” die and stenciled over the piece with the ink and MFT “Watercolor Wash” stencil.
Next I die cut the piece, using the watercolor die, and glued the die cut to the base card.
To apply the rest of the piece I used thin foam tape.
I stamped the sentiment from MFT “You’re Fintastic” with Versafine black ink.
On white card stock I stamped the fish from MFT “Gill Friends” using Memento tuxedo black ink and colored them with Copic markers before applying white gel pen dots.
To finish I cut them out with my Scan ‘n Cut machine and foam taped them to the card front.

Come join us on this excursion “under the sea”!
