and
And the inside of the card...
I just love this Newton’s Nook set.
The base card is purple checked card stock with a white interior.
On a piece of black card stock I stamped the sentiment from Newton’s Nook Designs “Newton’s Birthday Flutter” using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
I used the Tim Holtz “Window & Window Box” die to cut out the window frame and window panel from black and white card stock.
These I glued together.
I cut a piece of white card stock to place behind the window and stamped it with the bird image from the set using Memento tuxedo black ink and coloring it with Copic markers.
After making a mask of the image and placing it over the colored image I stenciled the challenge colors.
This I glued to the back of the window frame after removing the bird mask and foam taped it to the front of the card.
On more white card stock I stamped the cat image from Newton’s Nook Designs “Newton’s Curious Christmas” with the Memento ink and shaded it with Copic markers before trimming it out with scissors and gluing it to the card front.
To complete the card I stamped the image and sentiment from the Newton’s Nook Designs “Newton’s Birthday Flutter” with the Memento ink and colored it with Copic markers.
Your card is so great! I love the way you combined the stamp sets, and I couldn't help but crack up when I saw what you put on the inside! I just love it! Thank you so much for joining us at the Inky Paws Challenge!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Amy. The inside sentiment made me giggle! The simplicity of your outside scene really makes the bird stand out as does the white window sill. A super fun card! So glad you shared this gem with us at Inky Paws!
