and
I am luck enough to have a few friends to quilt with and the words for the Time Out Challenge just rang true for them.
We dream big of making loads of quilts.
We are great evil to have the money and time to make some quilts.
When we give these quilts they are given with love.
But mostly we have a lot of fun getting together to make the quilts!
The bae card is cream card stock with a layer of rust paper.
The “quilt” starts with a piece of water color paper that I ran through my BigShot with the rubber embossing pad and
MFT Die-namics “Quilt Square Cover Up”.
This allowed me to water color the pieces of the quilts with Distress inks antique linen and rusty hinge.
While that dried i die cut the quilt to get the outside piece and MFT Die-namics “Friend” with grey card stock.
Everything was glued on to the card front.
What a beautiful quilt card Arlene - it looks like an antique quilt with the subtle shading on the beige pieces and the water marks on the darker area

Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis is one eye-catching card!! Love the soft, warm colours and immediately evokes the feeling of quilts. The grey for the die-cut frame is fantastic against the brown/orange colour, very modern. And your so very lucky to have some friends to get together with and quilt, can just imagine all the conversations you have. So glad you shared this with us at TIME OUT!
