Today a van pulled up in my driveway.
It was to deliver flowers.
I never get flowers...wait I did one other time have flowers delivered to me from a van.
So today I am infinitely grateful for this lovely remembrance of me for what I do...send cards.
Yes, a lovely lady from another state that I started to send cards to after her hubby passed away just sent me a huge lovely bouquet!
To say thank you, I had to make a card.
This challenge gave me the right inspiration.
The base card is white linen card stock with the verse from MFT Stamps “Geometric Greenery” stamped along the side with Distress ink.
The main piece is water color paper.
Using my Tim Holtz stamping platform I inked up the Penny Black “hidden lane” stamp with assorted Distress inks, spritzed it heavily with water and then dried it with a heat tool.
using a water color brush and more Distress ink I colored in the sky and dried it again with my heat tool.
To finish I taped it to the front of the card!
What a beautiful thank you for the simple act of reaching out to encourage through cards - and a lovely response from you too, to make this sweet card
