on a break from cookie making…

and

On a break from marathon cookie making I sat with hubby to watch a show on Discovery Plus  about crafters.
One was a paper crafting challenge and the winner created extraordinary art with white card stocks on fancy background paper.
This gave me the idea for this card.
The base is white card stock and digging through my OLD stash of fancy papers I found this crinkled red paper and applied it to the base card.
At the Black Friday sale from Elizabeth Crafts I found some great dies.
From more white card stock I die cut three sentiments using the “Rejoice” die from that company, glued them together and glued it to the card front.
Using dies from Elizabeth Crafts “Florals 2” with a foam block from the same company and my largest stylus I added texture to the pieces and then used glue dots to apply them to the card front.

What a wonderful time to “rejoice” at Christmas!

  1. Arlene, this is so beautifully layered and composed! What a gorgeous Christmas card!
I couldn't help but think of all of us crafters during the Christmas at the White House program last night! Did you see all the white paper doves?
You might know how much I adore lots of white - thank you so much for including your beautiful card in The Flower Challenge Christmas challenge!
