Jumped up from my craft table, then out the front door to find some leaves.
The first card I made, not entering, was made with leaves from my Asian pear tree…
To these I applied Distress Oxide inks crackling campfire and scattered straw then printed them on the card front.
But I had done this technique in the past and decided to enter one that was new to me.
The main card is kraft card stock base card with a layer of brown card stock.
On cream card stock I ran this through my Vagabond with a branch of leaves from my tomato plant, using their natural “inks”.
To this I stamped the sentiment from Colorado Craft Company “Happy Day!” using StazOn timber brown ink.
For my mixed media I applied wood dots!
What a thrill to see your ethereally beautiful card in our gallery at CAS Mix Up! Double the pleasure to see a second lovely card when I got here. Thank you so much for playing along with us in our Botanical Prints challenge at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful cards Arlene - how often we don't 'see' what's on our doorsteps that we could potentially use in our cards. Love the random-ness of the tomato greens print
