wishing for a beach...

We live very near Lake Ontario and this year the water levels are extremely high.
This means beaches that I took my boys to for years are gone.
This card is hoping that they come back for my granddaughter in the future.
The base card is black card stock.
On a piece of white card stock I applied Gina K powder blue premium ink with an MFT Mix-ables “cloud” stencil and make up brushes.
To this piece I also stamped the birds from Avery Elle’s “Shine Bright” with Gina k premium black ink.
On another piece of white card stock I applied Gina K kraft ink with a stencil made form card stock and MFT Die-namics
“Rolling Hills” and the make up brush.
To this piece I stamped the sentiment from Avery Elle’s “beside The Sea” with the black ink and trimmed above a few of the “dunes”.
On another piece of white card stock I stamped the sea gull and the beach houses from the same set with the black ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils.
These I cut out with a kraft knife and self healing mat.
I glue the houses to the cloud piece, drew legs for the seagull with a Pigma Micron 05 pen, glued the seagull to the “dunes” piece then foam taped the “dunes” piece to the card front.

  1. A stunning card Arlene - love the sand dunes and the gulls - such wonderful wee details, and the wee huts are so quaint.
