watercolor butterfly...

Lately I have been wanting my watercolors to be deep and rich.
So I tried something new by getting my watercolor paper wet then dropping my Distress inks (fossilized amber, gathered twigs, carved pumpkin) directly on it and swirling the paper around until it was covered with color.
On the white linen base card I stamped the sentiment from Dina Wakely’s “Scribbly Insects & Spinners” with StazOn timber brown ink.
Wanting somewhere for the butterfly to perch I also stamped the branch from CTMH “Aspiration”
Now that the water color piece was dry I die cut it with one of Sizzix Tim Holtz “Detailed Butterflies, Mini”.
This I attached with a glue dot.
