by the blind...

Friends of my Father used to go duck hunting and sit in a boat among the drying out foliage every Autumn in what they called a “duck blind”.
This card is made in their memory.
Wanting to try the Tim Holtz techniques for the new Distress Oxide Spray Summer edition before I had them I used spiced marmalade, vintage photo and cracked pistachio on Ranger Mixed Media card stock.
I let them drip as Tim explains in his latest video.
When I turned it upside down, once it was dry ,it just looked like the edge of the water with the Autumn glow in the upper left.
Using Distress Archival ground espresso ink, Stampers Anonymous “Nature’s Elements” and Stamper’s Anonymous “Lost & Found” I stamped the images.
When dry i trimmed down the main piece and applied it to a dark brown base card.

  3. What a stunning card Arlene - I know what you mean about duck hunters and their 'blinds' - they get quite territorial about them here, and go out before the 'season' starts to claim their site :)
