There’s a new challenge that combines two of my favorite things...
CAS & Stencils.
I really love stencils, in fact I have many theorems all over my home.
For those of you who are not familiar with theorems, check this out...
Because I even tried my hand at them in the past I have a HUGE selection of stencils.
Today’s card starts with a white linen card stock base.
The main piece is white linen card stock that I did a three layer stencil to, on the bottoms to keep it CAS.
Used for this were Distress inks peacock feathers, tumbled glass and hickory smoke.
I sponged them with sponge daubers because of the detail in the stencils.
The stencil is by American Traditional Stencils “Swallowtail Butterfly”.
To finish the front piece I stamped the verse from Impression Obsession’s “Butterflies” set with Distress Oxide hickory smoke ink.
Won’t you join me for this great new Challenge site!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful design Arlene! I love that you have used just a portion of the large butterfly to keep the card CAS. Gorgeous mix of blues and gray for your pretty stenciled butterfly and sentiment. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Stencil! xx
