The above chart is actually a Valspar paint swatch folder with complimentary colors shown.
Sometimes I just don’t want to have to think when deciding what colors to put together.
Sometimes I need to think away from my regular colors.
The base card is white linen card stock.
On a piece of water color paper, using MFT Stamps “etched flower” and my Tim Holtz stamping platform, I tapped colors that looked like the ones on the folder and stamped it to the watercolor paper.
In this case I used Distress inks Victorian velvet, seedless preserves and vintage photo.
Then I used a watercolor brush to “paint” the flowers.
I dried it with my heat tool and die cut the heart with MFT Die-namics “pierced heart STAX”.
With the same die I cut a piece of pink fun foam.
The main piece I taped to the card front then glued on the foam heart, then the die cut piece.
On another piece of white linen card stock I stamped the verse from MFT Stamps “You Give Me Butterflies” with Distress Oxide vintage photo ink.
I cut this into a stri[ and flagged the end before foam taping it to the front of the card.

Just wonderful! Thank you so much for entering our challenge at Allsorts this week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty Arlene. Love the 'loose' water-colouring of the flowers and those colours are so soft and feminine together
