looking out my back window at night...

At night while relaxing I look out my back window at the tall trees one our acreage and if  I’m lucky I will see the silhouette of the birds heading for their rest.
That is the inspiration for this card.
The card is white linen card stock with Penny Black’s “winter ledge” stamped with StazOn jet black ink.
Next I die cut a circle with a post-it note and applied it to the card front before sponging with Distress inks faded jeans & black soot.

Note: The stamp is in the lower part of the picture.
I was lucky enough to pick it up at Hobby Lobby when they were putting a lot of their wood Stamps on clearance.
I then took it off the wood, sponged Tobow Mono Liquid Glue on the back and allowed it to dry overnight.
I pulled the indexing plastic image off the front, applied it to a piece of acetate packaging (I save it from everything I buy) then put the stamp on it for storage!

  1. I love your card, the colour combination creates a beautiful scene. Do you have pictures how you store your wooden stamps? It got me very interested as I do have some of them but find it quite difficult to store in a small place.

  2. Most of my stamps that I have pulled out wood just sit in small plastic bags in containers. But I wanted to use the Penny Black Stamps with my Misti or Tim Holtz platform so they needed to be sticky. I did as I explained in the post and then placed them in the plastic bin with my Penny Black Stamps that I have in their original packaging!

  3. Love this atmospheric scene. Well done on taking the stamp off the wooden block, I still can't bare to do it with my PBs.

Thanks so much for sharing with us at PB & More.
