into space...

I have this friend who LOVES science fiction so when I found this set at Kindred Stamps I had to have it!
The base card is white card stock.
For the main piece and the front of the base card I sponged Distress inks stormy sky, wilted violet, hickory smoke and black soot to make it look like space.
With my spritzer bottle I added some water droplets which I blotted with a paper towel.
Using my white gel pen I added some dots for stars.
The window was die cut using MFT Stamps “Pierced Rectangle STAX”.
After applying the acetate to the back of the main piece I used an anti-static bag to the back of the acetate and the front of the base card where the glitter would be placed.
I piled the sequin stars and two kinds of glitter in the center.
Next I applied foam tape to the back of the main piece, making sure it covered the entire border so no glitter escaped.
After putting it on the front of the card I shook it...no leaks!
On another piece of white card stock I stamped the ship from the Kindred Stamps set “Space Explorers” using MFT Stamps steel grey hybrid ink.
To finish I colored the ship with Prisma pencils, cut it out with a craf knife and self healing mat and applied it to the front of the card.

Inside I stamped one of the verse from the set with the same ink that says...
“Set a course for a CELEBRATION”
