Not sure if this is considered a flower but...

...this time of year it is my favorite flower in my front yard.
Especially when it dries into a skeleton version.

So I will use this stamp for a challenge of my favorite flower.
More of the story...
a dear friend knew how much I love this flower and she bought me the stamp for my birthday.
Unfortunately I already had the stamp.
I decided to make her a thinking of you note from the stamp to thank her for thinking of me!

(Since they asked us to post which prize we would like to win I have to say #4 the $25.00 gift certificate to "The Ton", I've been eyeing their poinsettias!!!)

and

The base card is green card stock with a layer of rust card stock.
Using a piece of white card stock I stamped the Penny Black "Flower Lanterns" in black.
The lantern piece I taped to my light box, then taped a piece of water color paper over it.
Using Derwent Inktense pencils I colored the flowers as I wished then removed them from the light box and applied water with my watercolor brush.
Once it was thoroughly dry I taped it to the card front.
With another piece of green card stock and Tim Holtz Sizzix celebration words dies I cut out the "thinking of you".
The "thinking" went on the card front and the "of you" on a piece of linen card stock inside.
To finish the card I applied the Ranger gold liquid pearls to the front.
(Hint - when using these pearls you apply them and then quickly tap the card on the table to allow the pearls to spread out!)
