Yes folks, I have a warped sense of humor...

The base card is white card stock.
I stamped the haunted "chapel" from Stampin Up's "house of haunts-2008" using StazOn jet black ink.
All sponging was done with combinations of Distress Ink.
I masked the moon and windows and sponged the sky.
Next I masked the sky and grass and sponged the "road".
Masking the road and sky I sponged the grass.
On another piece of white card stock I stamped the car from Stampin' Up's "road to happiness-2012" using the StazOn ink.
I sponged it with some Distress ink then cut it out.
I attached just a bit of the car to the card front and trimmed off the rest.
In the lower right hand corner I stamped the verse from Stampin' Up's "sweet essentials-2012" using the same ink.

I made this card because I'm working on Halloween cards and listening to Halloween music and just couldn't get out of the "theme"!

  1. :-)! Your card certainly made me smile. The execution of this card is fabulous - love the sponged landscape and silhouettes you've used. I actually know some people for whom this card would be perfect! Thanks so much for joining us at Retro Rubber for our wedding challenge.

    2. Hello again: Well, I actually finally was able to purchase a stamp set from Ebay that is called "The Best of Halloween" and it has the Haunted House, the spooky tree with the own plus a witch's hat, a sentiment and a pumpkin with bats, very reasonably priced, Oh my gosh!! I honestly have been after this set ever since it was retired.
Again, your card is awesome, so glad you shared it with us at RETRO RUBBER.
      Hugs,
      Maria.

  4. LOL... not sure "warped" is deserved but you definitely have a great sense of humor. Definitely not too early for Halloween cards if you are getting a head start on the upcoming holidays (OMGoodness... cannot believe it!!). I have this stamp set in my stash and love it. The addition of the car is perfect for the theme. Thanks so much for playing along with Retro Rubber this week. Hope to see you in the gallery often.
