This would be a national holiday...

...and though I really need to get on with the Christmas cards I need to make I just couldn't by pass the Fourth of July that is so close.

I really do love paper crafting so for this card I decided to color with paper.
The base card is white linen card stock.
Next came a layer of textured blue card stock that I distressed the edges before applying a layer of red plaid patterned paper, also with distressed edges.
The main piece is white linen card stock that I stamped the image and verse from Unity Stamp Co.'s "starts & stripes forever" set using StazOn jet black ink.
I wanted the rest to look like fabric so I used the red plaid paper  and gold & blue textured paper on which I stamped the same image using the same ink.
I then cut out each piece and glued it to the main image before distressing those edges and taping it to the front of the card.

To all my stamping friends...
"Happy Fourth of July"
