So I will start with buy only good watercolor paper.
I thought I was getting a deal with watercolor paper at Ollie's.
First off it was grey then when I went to watercolor on it...it pilled?
I had been using Canson Water Color paper with the blue cover and will never stray again!
The base card is white linen card stock.
After water coloring the main piece with black and blues from my Koi Watercolors set I heat tool dried it.
I mixed a little water with Colorbox frost white ink and spattered the "snow" with a long detail brush.
On another piece of white card stock I stamped the tree (Lawn Fawn "joy to the woods") leaving the bottom un-stamped, cleaned the stamp thoroughly and then inked up only another trunks part and extended the size of the trees using StazOn jet black ink.
I couldn't use the die for the set so I cut them out with my craft tool.
I stamped the bird from the same set using the same ink and water colored him before cutting him out.
I glued the watercolor main piece to the card, then glued on the tree first and then the bird.
I stamped the verse from Lawn Fawn's "home for the holidays' set using the StazOn to finish the card.
Beautiful card! I love the gorgeous watercolor night sky, looks so serene! Thanks for sharing with us at Lawn Fawnatics!
