what fun to play with flowers!
My base card is purple checked card stock from Lasting Impressions.
I cut out a layer of cream linen card stock and ran my antiquing tool around the edge before sponging Adirondack lettuce ink on it.
Over to the BigKick to die cut the Tim Holtz Alterations "Tattered Flower Garden" die on three pieces of cream card stock.
Before removing the flower parts and leaves that I want to use I sponged Adirondack eggplant on the flowers and lettuce on the leaves for a natural look.
I punched out what pieces I wanted to use for the flowers and clipped them together with cream color brads.
I stamped the verse from Tim Holtz's "Nature's Elements" set with the lettuce ink.
I placed the flowers and leaves on the card front and carefully applied glue dots beneath then.
This is much easier than pulling them up and gluing them down as they never go back exactly where you had them!
This card is so pretty! I really love the way your flowers turned out and how they are so rich in color! The layers give them wonderful dimension. I also think the antiquing/inking you did around the edges gives this card such a lovely rustic look. This card made me smile and is filled with refreshing feelings of Spring! Thank you for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
