continuing in the scrap pile...

I ran across this piece of card stock with the quilt block on it...

It seems perfect for a clean and simple challenge so I found one...

I pulled out my utility knife and my self healing mat and cut out the center square and the four attached triangles, being very careful not to cut through and have them detach.
I used a black marker to run around the inside of the cut out pieces to get rid of the cream color inside.
I attached the red plaid card stock then attached a piece of black card stock.
The base card is kraft card stock and once I had attached the quilt block I found the verse that goes so well with what I am doing right now, Stampin' Up's "When life throws you scraps, make a quilt!", or in my case a card!!!
II stamped the verse from Stampin' Up's "Quilt Quips" set using StazOn jet black ink.
