and
One challenge said warm wishes, so being a quilter I thought of the die I have from MFT Die-namics "quilt square cover up".
I die cut two patterned papers that went together well, one with polka dots and one with flowers.
The one with the flowers reminded me of the old stories about quilts that were made from clothing that people had out grown.
No waste.
Then I decided the little girl from MFT stamps "PI sending big hugs" would work great if I stamped her on white card stock first and colored all but the dress with Prisma colored pencils.
I stamped the image again on the flowered patterned paper using the StazOn jet black ink.
I trimmed out the dress and applied it to the die cut girl and glued her to the front of the card onto which I had layered white and black card stock and the quilt.
This shows the "fabric" from the dress in the quilt.
It is clean and actually quite simple because of the dies.
to finish I stamped the "warm wishes" from MFT stamps ""warm wishes" set.
Love that great looking background awesome card. Thanks for joining us over at ATCAS.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it! It really did start out as just the girl but the quilt jumped in and I couldn't say no!
