New beginnings can also be endings...

as in the case of the card I made for the Less is More challenge.
It is a retirement card for an office worker friend of mine.
Thought it is an end of the job she had, it is a new beginning to a life of retirement and new opportunities.

I started with a multicolored flecks card stock and stamped the image from Art Impressions "Chair Spinner" using Adirondack pitch black ink.
I took a straight edge and  drew a line with pencil to trim out, with scissors, along the edge of the card and the image.
Using Printworks "small tag lines" congratulations, I stamped it using the same pitch black ink to the front of the card.
The figure was colored with Chameleon pens.
I cut a strip of yellow/white striped patterned paper to place along the edge of the inside of the card.

I hope she has as much fun with retirement as I have had.

  2. What a fantastic image! You can almost hear the lady shouting for joy! I think this is one of the best retirement cards I have seen. The way you fussy cut round part of the image to expose the pretty stripes on the inside is so effective. Wish I could be in the office when your friend's colleague receives this! Thank you so much for sharing it with us at Less is More xx
