Thought I wouldn't have time for card making this week...

but a friend canceled coffee this morning due to illness and I have a morning to play!

I love this spider...it is from Stampin' Ups "Best Fiends" set and he just looks so real???

I started with a white card stock base card and stamped the spider and the "boo", from the same set, using Staz-On black ink.
I pulled out my Derwent Inktense pencils and my watercolor brush to add just a hint of "golden yellow" to the eyes and webs.
The spider only has a short web coming from his backside so I added more with dots using my Pigma Micron black pen 05.
I finished it up by corner rounding two opposite corners!

  1. Sorry your friend's ill, but yay to more crafting time! What a fabulous spider - he IS very realistic, isn't he! I love that you added more spider silk by hand, and it does look great framing the edge of the card like that. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More!

  4. The doodling that you did to extend the spider's thread is superb! Can see why it is a favourite stamp of yours. Love the tiny splash of colour that you added to the eyes and webs as it adds a little more interest to your card. Wishing your friend a speedy recovery. Thanks for sharing this with us at Less is More. xx
