non-traditional Halloween…

and

So here’s the explanation of why I did this “non-tradiational” card.
There are so many Christmas challenges that call for Non-traditional colors that I thought it would be fun to try some for Halloween.
Also I yesterday’s mail I received my Newton’s Nook Designs order of “Tropical Leaves Stencil” and “Newton’s Boo-tiful Nights”.
Also teal is great for the…

 on with the card.
The base card is white card stock stenciled with Newton’s Nook Designs “Tropical Leaves Stencil” using Distress inks mowed lawn, squeezed lemonade and peacock feathers.
I was able to get them fairly individually colored using sponge daubers.
The black card stock panel was cut using a die from Newton’s Nook Designs “Fancy Edges Die”.
Next I stamped the sentiment from Newton’s Nook Designs “Newton’s Boo-tiful Night” with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
On heavy white card stock I stamped the image from the same set with Versafine onyx black ink.
With the same ink pads that I used for the stencil I watercolored the image before cutting it out with scissors and foam taping it to the card front.
