I am finally back to some card making after getting a little land work done and supplies for more brought in.
For Easter my friend sent me a card that I am sure she made at a Stampin’ Up class.
I decided the design was perfect for this challenge.
Using card stock that was beige on one side and white on the other I cut and scored it like this...
Next I glued the smaller piece to the larger piece as shown...
Using a piece of self stick white velcro I applied half to this part of the card...
I removed the plastic piece and closed the card in the standing position...
and this is what it looks like...
On white card stock I stamped the flower from Paper Smooches “Friendly Flowers” with Memento tuxedo black ink, colored it with Copic markers and trimmed it out with scissors.
Using a die from Lifestlye Crafts nesting circles I cut a piece of the beige card stock.
With a die from Spellbinders scalloped circle set I cut a piece of black card stock and glued them together.
Using a sentiment from Paper Smooches “Sentiment Sampler” and the Momento ink I stamped it as shown.
This I glued to the front of the card in a place that allowed the card to fit, when open, in an A2 envelope.
To finish I applied the flower to the front of the circle using glue dots.
That's a very intricate fold. Love how it looks like the Star Trek logo pin on the uniforms....I;m a geek I know. Thank you for playing at AAA Birthday Challenges.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card Arlene - love the shape, but even more I love the way you have decorated it with the simple circle and flower
