I love to spend a whole day just playing with my Tim Holtz inks and paints to make backgrounds for cards.
This card has a part of one of those backgrounds from last week’s day of play.
The base card is white card stock.
On more white card stock I stamped the flowers from Newton’s Nook Designs “Little Lillies”, which I love and have in my yard.
It was stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored with Copic markers before trimming it out with scissors.
Using one of the dies from Sugar Pea Designs “Stacked Honeycombs” I cut black card stock, then with another die the background paper made with Distress paint salty ocean and mowed lawn.
These were glued to the card front then I stamped the sentiment from Newton’s Nook Designs “Newton’s Summer” with the same ink.
To finish I attached the flower with glue dots.
What a beautiful card Arlene - I too love Lily of the Valley - I had just got some established when I sold my house...

Thank you for sharing your very pretty card with us at Addicted to CAS! I like how the lily of the valley bleeds off the bottom of the page leaving lots of white space. xoxo Fran
ReplyDeleteI love your lily of the valley, one of my favorite flowers! Great design with that geometric shape and the flower flowing up and across it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. I can almost smell the lily of the valley. Happy reminder of my childhood. I love the placement of the lily of the valley and the stacked hexagons. At first, I was like, what? But looking more closely, the stacked hexagons are a brilliant addition to make the flowers stand out. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to CAS.
