changeable colors...

The base card is white card stock.
The colored piece was done from one of the Tim Holtz Saturday instructions.
It starts with multimedia card stock colored with Distress paint cracked pistachio, candied apple and mermaid lagoon.
Using a TCW stencil I placed it on the dry background and sprayed Distress resist spray over it.
Once dry I spritzed Distress Oxide sprays mermaid lagoon and cracked pistachio.
Isn’t it interesting how the colors change to a teal and terra cotta?
Finally I sponged hickory smoke Distress ink to soften the look.
Once trimmed to a strip I layered a piece of lavender card stock behind and tape it to the base card.
To finish I die cut the sentiment from more lavender card stock using Tim Holtz “Celebration Words: Script” and glued them to the card front.

  1. What a fabulous card Arlene - loving the depth and interest of texture and colour in the panel. The pale lavender is the perfect accent colour.
