woven color...

and

Whenever I do a color challenge chances are I don’t own the extract inks.
However i try and match as closely as I can.
For this challenge I substituted Distress inks for the following...
Tangy Orange-Barn Door
Kraft-Brushed Corduroy (also card stock)
Tropical Teal-Peacock Feathers
After Midnight-Blueprint Sketch (also card stock)
The base card is white linen card stock with a kraft card stock layer.
On watercolor paper using MFT Stamps “Etched Flower” I colored the stamp with the mini Distress inks, spritzed it with water and stamped it onto the water color paper.
This I dried with my heat tool and cut in strips.
With blue card stock I cut more strips and wove these with the other strips.
USing 1/8” tape I glued this piece to the kraft card stock and trimmed the edges of the card.
To finish I stamped the “Hello” from MFT Stamps “You Give Me Butterflies” with the Distress brushed corduroy ink.

  1. What a fabulous use of the colours Arlene, and a stunning card - so dramatic with the papers woven like that, with the mixed colours one way, and the solid blue the other
