As my granddaughter gets ready to start preschool this September...I am preparing cards to send her.
We now watch her about two days a week but will only see her rarely once school starts.
Making and sending cards will fill the void!
The base card is white linen card stock.
The main piece os water color paper with MFT Stamps “Beach Cutie” stamped on it using Distress Archival black soot ink.
WIth my Derwent Inktense pencils I water colored her, the ocean and the sand.
Once dry I stamped the verse from the same set with the same ink.
Adorable card, Arlene! Your granddaughter is going to love getting this in the mail. Precious looks great in her beach outfit. Love the background you've added. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty Arlene - I can well image how you will miss your granddaughter. I am currently babysitting two of mine twice a week and am loving it - the joys of grandparenting.

ReplyDeleteAwh, this is so sweet, Arlene! When our grandsons started school I really missed them, but soon filled up the time. I still see them as often as I can and miss them so much when I don't see them for a week. Your watercoloring on this card is perfect and I love the sentiment! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Watercolour!
