Today is another day of playing with my Tim Holtz collection and trying to prove that his designs can be used for CAS (clean and simple) as well!
Last summer I found a package of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Collage Paper at a garage sale for $1.00.
I had never played with it but thought it would be fun for this challenge.
The base card is white card stock.
The main piece is collage paper that I colored, on the back, with Tim Holtz Distress crayons (fossilized amber, mustard seed and peeled paint) in order to match the colors of the challenge.
This piece I applied to a smaller piece of white card stock, that fit the bottom of the card, using Distress Collage Medium and the 1-1/4” Distress medium brush.
I smoothed the collage paper onto the card stock and trimmed around the edge.
I taped this to the card front and applied a strip of black card stock to the top of the collage paper.
To finish I stamped the verse from Tim Holtz “Clear Stamps-Nature’s Elements” with Distress Archival black soot ink.
Lovely use of this week's colors. Thanks for joining us at CC&S.
ReplyDeleteLovely card. I like the touch of collage elements - adds interest but not too much distraction. Thanks for playing along with us at CC&S!
ReplyDeletePretty card and great use of the colours. Thank you for joining us for this week's CC&S Challenge.
