One of the Tim Holtz collection I haven’t played much with are the Distress Crayons.
So I looked up ideas and Tim suggested using them on embossing folders.
The above card is white card stock base card with a layer of red card stock.
The main piece is black card stock that I embossed with the Tim Holtz “doily” embossing folder.
Next I used the white Distress crayon and gently applied it in small areas and smoothed it with my finger.
I trimmed to allow it to look like a doily layered onto black card stock.
To finish I stamped the “i love you” from Tim Holtz’s “Saying Stuff” set with Distress Archival black soot ink to a strip of white card stock and applied it to the card front.
Wow! That doily really packs a punch with your card. I love your layers, too. Thank you for playing with us at the Sisterhhood of Crafters Challenge and hope you can join us again soon.

Great card! I love the layers and the white distress crayon use on the doily. I have heard of them but never have seen them used. I will need to check into that!! Thanks so much for including the Sisterhood of Crafters in your stamping fun this week. It is perfect for the nontraditional Valentine's theme! Hope to see you play with us often!
