This year I won’t forget the Canada Day card for my friend.
Thanks to finding a Stampin’ Up set called “Glorious and Free” for $4.00 at a garage sale.
The card was made with water color paper.
I taped the front of the card to my rectangle of plexiglass and taped with painter’s tape.
Also with the tape I die cut a circle from the nested circle dies by Lifestyle crafts and applied it to the card.
Next I color washed the card using my Reeves watercolor set.
Once it was totally dry I stamped the moose and verse, from the Canadian national anthem, to the card front with StazOn jet black ink.
Very nice card! Thanks for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. Marsha DT
ReplyDeleteWow Arlene, what a gorgeous card! I love the moose, of course, and the simplicity of the background. Simple, yes, but so effective. This is a wonderful Canada Day card. Finding that "Glorious and Free" stamp set was incredibly lucky. That sentiment completes the card beautifully. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteArlene I'm impressed and love this totally Canadiana style card. I'm sure your friend will be too. This card speaks volumes. https://pennytokensstampinspot.blogspot.com
