Sew I went to this quilt show...

Just doing an octagon shaped card may seem simple but there is a reason I chose this shape.
It is the shape used for the Grandma's flower garden in quilting, which led me to this Penny black stamp set "sew much fun" and lead me to cut the main piece of the card using my GO quilt die cutting machine.
The main piece is white linen card stock where I stamped the sewing machine using StazOn jet black ink.
I then colored the image using Faber Castell polychromos.
I must note that I really love this stamp as I collect antique sewing machines and this one has all the appropriate pieces for an old Singer I have...gold emblems, wood bottom, the belt and sliver face plate.
Very authentic!

Once the main piece was finished I applied it to the blue card stock and cut the edges with my paper trimmer.
Finally I folded a piece of 12x12 black linen card stock and taped the piece to it before trimming the edges to make the card.
Now to send it with a coupon I received at a local quilt show for a quilt shop near my D-I-L's Mom, a fellow quilter who will enjoy the coupon and hopefully the card!
