Springtime hope...

and

My next few challenge cards will be put aside for my other friend who will be undergoing surgery and will need cards while she recuperates!

This card was started with a kraft card stock base card then a layer of white square embossed card stock that I sponged Distress salty ocean ink long the outside edge.
The main image is a flower from the Penny Black "delicate florals" set.
I liked this one because it looked spring like to me with the tulip and the first flower that comes up in my back yard forget-me-nots!
I stamped the image and the verse, also from Penny Black, using Distress gathered twigs ink onto white linen card stock and colored the image using Prisma color pencils.
I cut it out with my oval dies, not sure of the company, and cut a bit larger one from kraft card stock to layer on the back after I sponged the main piece.
