I usually go with darker shades of the colors but with watercolor is just lightened up!
The base card is cream card stock with a layer of olive green card stock.
Using water color paper, a tea strainer and Inktense colored pencils I watered the paper first then added the pencils by scraping them through a tea strainer.
Next I pulled the color around with more water and a brush.
While still wet I applied Kosher salt crystals and allowed it to dry.
I shook off the crystals and applied it to the card front.
To finish I die cut the sentiment, unknown company, from more olive card stock and glued it to the card front.
Lovely watercolored background. I have a tea strainer and the Inktense pencils, but I've never tried this technique! Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing with us at Color Hues!
