Who says hearts have to be for Valentine’s Day?
I saw this sketch and thought of my punches who get very little use anymore with the dies that have replaced them.
I pulled out two heart punches that I just can’t get rid of and punched them using white card stock that I had covered with Distress ink.
The base card is black card stock with a white card stock panel.
Onto the panel I glue dotted the hearts.
To finsih I die cut the sentiment from black card stock using the Impression Obsession “Smile” die and glued it to the card front.
(But I guess you could use it for Valentine’s Day!!!???!!!)
Beautiful and clever as always, Arlene! I love the large sentiment against those pretty hearts. Thanks so much for playing along with us at CC&S!
ReplyDeleteSo stunning - love the minimal colour for maximum impact Arlene, and great use of the sketch

Such a sweet interpretation of the current CC&S sketch! Those hearts are so cute and that bold reminder to smile! Thank you so much for sharing with us at CC&S :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, hearts are wonderful anytime, great idea for this sketch :)
ReplyDeleteThe smile is the perfect sentiment!
I totally agree, hearts are always welcome. They make a perfect match for the sketch and I love how you paired them with that bold black smile. If I may make a little notice, this card is gorgeous and it's a pity you didn't go for a square card as required for this challenge. Any way, thank so much for playing along with us at CC&S.
