Some would look at the challenge colors and see light orange and dark grey.
I saw just the opposite.
The base card is white card stock with a layer of orange card stock.
Using white card stock and a 3D embossing folder I embossed it and then applied Distress ink lightly over the top.
Next I die cut the sentiment from orange card stock using a die from Concord & 9th “Sew Lovely Dies” and clued it to the card front.
Beautiful card love how our sentiment runs from the frame <3
ReplyDeleteArlene, I love that you changed it up a bit and did light grey and dark orange. After all, we embrace all the hues of our two colors at Color Hues. Such a pretty card! Thanks for joining us and enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely BEAUTIFUL card Arlene! I love, LOVE that embossing folder and how you lightly inked it up with the gray...so pretty! And the orange sentiment totally POPS against the light gray! You used the challenge colors beautifully...thanks so much for sharing with us at The Color Hues Challenge! Marcia (DT)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work - love that you let the embossed panel take the eye so beautifully
ReplyDeleteDid you know that the current Can You Handle The Pressure challenge twist is Florals plus embossing

You're right that our interpretations of the colours can vary widely. I saw different 'light-ish' shades of orange and either light or dark grey. Your pairing of the dark orange sentiment and panel and light grey floral embossing makes for a lovely card. Thank you for joining us at Colour Hues!
