The biggest thing I have learned from watching Tim Holtz videos is to spend a day or two, or more, making backgrounds, stenciling with pastes, die cutting ahead, etc.
Because of that when I sat down today to make some Halloween and Autumn cards I was able to create with pre-made backgrounds.
The base card is white card stock.
The main panel was made with Distress Texture Paste through Tim Holtz “Tiles” stencil and allowed to dry.
Once dry I spritzed it with Tim Holtz spray stains and spray mica stains then applied it to the base card.
The sentiment is a die from Impression Obsession #1007-Q which I cut black card stock.
Using Trinity Stamps “Boo Brew Stand-alone Die Set” I cut the ghost from vellum, the cup from spray stained water color paper, the face and spider from black card stock and the leaf and tendril from spray stained white card stock.
These I glued and foam taped to the card front.
Love your card! I agree that making lots of backgrounds at once is the way to go, so fun to do and like winning a prize when you find just the right one in your stock! Thanks for joining us at Cardz 4 Guys~
