So many of the CAS challenges that I LOVE to take part in are either going on hiatus or going away entirely and it makes me sad.
The base card is white card stock that I scored at the 1/4” across the front.
Using white card stock I stamped the bells from Sunny Studio’s “Holiday Style” using Distress pumice stone, hickory smoke and black soot inks.
These I trimmed out and applied DMC #8 thread for the hangers.
I die cut a piece of white card stock with a Spellbinders scalloped die and stamped the sentiment from the same set with Distress black soot ink.
After applying the bells to the front with glue dots and pulling the threads to the back I applied it to a red card stock square and foam taped it to the base card.
I think 'bells' is quite a difficult theme (I notice sparklesforumchristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/ also have the same theme) - but you've done an amazing job here. I love the red thread and score lines. Yes I notice a lot of challenges are closing at the moment (many of them are Kylie's) - why not start your own?
ReplyDeleteJust love your trio of bells on the square sentiment! So pretty with the textured card behind!!

ReplyDeleteI had to come check out what ink you used on your bells, Arlene. I use Altenew Inks on mine but the Distress Inks look good and your stamping is perfect.
