It’s almost time for the butterflies to come out!
The base card is white linen card stock with a strip of black card stock attached.
On water color paper I made a background with Ken Oliver Color Burst burnt umber, yellow ochre and burnt orange powders.
Once it was thoroughly dry I ran it thought the BigKick with Tim Holtz “dimensional cutting pad” and a die from Tim Holtz “mini detailed butterflies”.
This allowed the center to stay connected to the card stock and the wings to float free.
After attaching this to the front of the card I stamped the sentiment from Diane Wakley’s “Scribbly Insects & Spinners” using StazOn jet black ink.
Lovely rich colours and super design to showcase the flutterby. Many thanks for sharing and joining in our 'Butterflies' theme at Allsorts challenge this week.
