There are multiple ideas for using black card stock but my favorite was using Distress Oxides with a background stamp.
The main card is light violet card stock with a layer of black card stock according to the sketch.
The patterned piece is black card stock stamped with Hero Arts “Scribble Bold Prints” (which I had not used until today) covered with Distress Oxide peeled paint and shaded lilac inks then spritzed with water before stamping.
The sentiment is MFT Die-namics “Little Hello” that I die cut the front with black card stock and the background with a light green card stock, glued them together and then foam taped them to the card front.
