The deer from Newton’s Nook are some of my favorite woodland creatures as deer meander around the woods in back of our home.
The base card is cream card stock with two flags made of brown tree embossed card stock.
The main piece is cream card stock stenciled with Newton’s Nook “Tree Rings Stencil”, Distress Oxide gathered twigs ink and a make up brush.
I trimmed this down and added more of the brown card stock to match the sketch and stamped the sentiment from Newton’s Nook “Deer Friends” set with MFT chocolate brown hybrid ink.
The last piece is the deer from the same set stamped on another piece of card stock and stamped with the hybrid ink before coloring it with Copic markers.
Just after trimming it out and adding it to the card front I used a white gel pen to white out the tail and back dots.
This is so sweet...what a great little deer as well as a fabulous background! Thanks for playing with our challenge this week at the Players!
