more birthday...

My son is now working for the PO and another job with needy children.
My granddaughter and I were talking about that yesterday.
She said she wanted to work where her Mommy worked, with needy children as well.
I said that was great but she could also be a mail carrier like her Daddy!
Thus the inspiration for this card.
The base card is white card stock.
The lower piece of kraft card stock was die cut with the girl from MFT Die-namics “Birthday Boy & Girl” and applied to the bottom of the card.
From another piece of kraft card stock I used the “birthday” from the same set and once die cut I glued them above the strip.
The kraft card stock at the top of the card, I trimmed to fit the sketch and cut the circle with one of my Lifestyle Crafts circle dies.
Using navy blue card stock I die cut the “happy birthday” with MFT Die-namics  “Happy Birthday Circle Frame” and applied it to the kraft piece.
On a piece of white card stock I stamped the mail carrier from MFT Stamps “You’ve Got Mail” with MFT chocolate brown hybrid ink and colored it with Prisma pencils before trimming it out with scissors.
To finish I glued the girl to the back of the kraft piece and glued the kraft piece to the card front.

  1. A fabulous card - love your colouring of the image, and how she is 'coming out' of the aperture. The negative/positive look to the sentiment is striking
