alcohol sky...

Last week I tried an alcohol background on Yupo paper and threw it out.
Then today on Facebook a person suggested that I use alcohol and clean off the Yupo.
I did and it worked, mostly, but I decided it was good enough to make another over it.
For this one I used alcohol inks...
Adirondack Birghts Purpule Twilight
Adirondack Denim
Ranger Silver Mixative
This combination left me with the background you see above.
The base card is black card stock with a layer of grey card stock, then black again and then the background piece.
The vers is from River City Rubber Worked and I stamped it on with Gina K amalgam ink.
On a piece of white card stock I stamped the images from Kindre Stamps with the Gina K ink and colored them with American Crafts gel pens for a metallic look.
Next i cut them out with scissors and a craft knife before gluing them to the card front.

  1. I'm glad that you didn't give up on that background. It turned out looking amazing. R2D2 and CP30 are the perfect additions to show the expanse of space with your great background.
Thanks for joining us at QKR Stampede this week. DT Kathy [https://myasperations.blogspot.com]

  2. What a great background you eventually created - love the fact you started again after cleaning off the yupo. The wee si-fi figures are wonderful there in the foreground
