The Paper Players Challenge 405...A Color Challenge From Leanne

There are so many hints I will be passing on in this post, but I will start with the basic card and why I used what I did for the challenges.

To me monochromatic means one color plus a neutral.

However it can means shades of that color which end up looking like the Paper Players colors.

The base card is black card stock.

The main layer is white card stock that I sponged with Distress carved pumpkin ink through the MFT Mix-ables “Sun Ray” stencil.

Then I sponged over the entire piece and flipped the piece (HINT) to look like a sunset instead of a sunrise.

Using the verse from MFT stamps “Spooky Sweets” I stamped it to the main piece with StazOn jet black ink, which I just re-inked with the re-inker and used a piece of freezer paper with the acrylic brayed to spread the ink evenly over the pad (HINT).

On another piece of white card stock I die cut the pumpkins with the MFT Die-manics “Spooky Sweets” coordinating die for the small pumpkin.

Making sure the pumpkins stayed with the piece they had been cut from I used washi tape to keep the images in lace for stamping (HINT).

Using the Misti tool I stamped the images using Distress carved pumpkin ink and blotted the image with a paper towel before stamping it to the die cut.

(HINT...this gives it a speckled effect).

Next came the stamping of the faces with the same set and the StazOn and to finish the pumpkins I colored the stems with a Sharpie black marker to get all the way to the edges.

Finally I glued everything together with Elmer’s school glue that I have in a micro squeeze bottle (HINT...this is really cheap now with the going back to school sales.)
