Three Billy Goats Gruff by Peter Christen Asbjornsen is a Norwegian fairy tale that I remember reading as a teen.
My card is based on that using the Tim Holtz “Hipster Goat” set.
To start I did a foreground piece using glossy white card stock and smearing Distress alcohol inks over it.
Next I dropped some of the inks and blew them around with canned air.
The base card is grey card stock.
Using the dies that came with the set I die cut the three places for the goats.
From the pieces I also cut out the glasses that came with the set and the branches that come from Sizzix Tim Holtz “Fall Foliage”.
Making sure the inked piece fit on the grey card front I stamped the goats using the stamp that comes with the set, using my Tim Holtz platform and StazOn jet black ink.
I removed the inked piece and colored the goats with Faber Castell polychromos.
Next I glued the inked piece down, and the glasses to the goats and the extra branch pieces.
To finish I used Nuvo black drops to make eyes on the goats.
What a fabulous card!! haha, this really made me smile! the billy goats are adorable, I love how you have them popping in from the sides and I love the story you choose! PERFECT! :-)
