This card came about from a shopping trip for batting for a quilt at my local JoAnn store.
There I found a treasure trove of Tim Holtz inks and media clearances priced.
The base card is brown card stock with a layer of cream card stock.
The background is white glossy card stock that I smeared with Tim Holtz alcohol inks and allowed to dry.
The next step was to drop one of the brown inks and blow it around with canned air.
Once that was dry I attached it to the base card.
On another icee of cream card stock I stamped the couple from Unity Stamp Co.’s “promise always” with StazOn timber brown ink.
Then I trimmed it out with scissors and glue dotted it to the card front.
Inside I stamped on another piece of the cream card stock with the same ink the verse “a true love story never ends” from the same Unity set.
It will make a perfect anniversary card for any of my age friends.
Wow! I love this card! The muted neutrals work wonderfully well for your background, letting the stamped and uncoloured image of the couple stand out. The image is so heart-warming and what you've said you stamped inside finishes it off beautifully. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteLucky you finding a discount bargain on your Tim Holtz products. Such a grat feeling when you go home with those kind of treasures, and you put them to great use in the design of this card. Love the imagery for the old couple of the sentiment. The background is kind of dystopian with those blown ink stains looking like an old forest. Beautiful. Thanks for joining us at the All About Occasions challenge at Watercooler Wednesday this week and sharing your wonderful card.
