...and this is something I have a problem with.
But decided to give it a try for these challenges focusing on the "mixed media"!
But decided to give it a try for these challenges focusing on the "mixed media"!
My idea of a garden is not what you have to plant every year and take care of, but perennials such as cattails.
The base card is white linen card stock with a layer of lighter blue card stock.
The main piece is a background I did with Distress stains and once it was thoroughly dry I ran it through the BigKick with Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations cattails embossing folder.
My second media was to color the cattails with Faber-Castell PITT pastel chalk pencils, mixing the colors on the embossed images and combining with artists stumps.
Once that layer was attached to the card front I stamped the verse from Ranger's Diane Wakley's "Handwritten Sentiments" using Adirondack stonewashed ink and white linen card stock.
I trimmed it down and attached it to the card front.
Love the sentiments and the background. Thank you for joining the challenge at the Happy Little Stampers. - Priya Satish DT
