An adult Halloween card...

and

As I was playing with my water coloring and this gorgeous Penny Black stamp I decided to try something different and made it into a Halloween card.
The base card is pumpkin colored card stock with a layer of black card stock.
The main piece is water color paper with the Penny Black "flower lanterns" image stamped onto the paper using StazOn jet black ink.
The coloring was done with Derwent Inktense pencils and a water color brush.
The verse (unknown company) was stamped using StazOn jet black ink and then colored with the Inktense and the brush.
When everything was dry I sponged Distress black soot ink on the main piece and taped it to the card front.
Inside is a white card stock panel with Happy Halloween stamped inside!

  3. I love what you've done with the Flower Lanterns stamp here, the stamping with the black ink allowing you to pop just a little colour on to that image and keep everything in darker shades is a clever idea and keeps it in a "creepy" tone. Thank you for using the Penny Black stamp on your creation and for sharing this with us at Penny Black and More challenges, Leanne DT xx

  4. I absolutely love how you have used the lovely PB Lanterns stamp, so easy to just go with the traditional oranges so well done on stepping outside the box, works perfectly. Many thanks for joining us at Penny Black and More challenge.

  6. Pretty and spooky at the same time. You had such a light touch with the Black Soot that gives an eerie feeling without overpowering the lanterns. Thanks for sharing this wonderful card with us at Addicted to Stamps and More.
